TCS-Porsche Deal: Rs. 3,575 Crore MHP Buyout Powers AI Mobility Push

Porsche’s 5-Year Technology Deal With TCS Targets Secure AI Across Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Customer Experience

Tata Consultancy Services announced a major Porsche partnership on August 24, 2026, covering AI mobility and automotive technology. The Indian IT giant will acquire MHP, Porsche’s German management and IT consulting subsidiary, for Euro 320 million.

The deal values MHP at around Rs. 3,575 crore and strengthens TCS’s European automotive presence. Porsche will also commit Euro 1.25 billion through a five-year strategic technology agreement with TCS and MHP.

The partnership will bring AI into Porsche’s engineering, manufacturing, operations and customer experience across Germany and Europe. TCS will lead the transformation through its global technology capabilities and MHP’s automotive consulting expertise.

The acquisition remains subject to regulatory approvals and could strengthen TCS’s position in software-defined mobility.

TCS will establish a dedicated AI Mobility Centre of Excellence for Porsche under the agreement. The center will develop secure AI solutions across manufacturing, engineering and other mobility technologies. It will also focus on improving operational resilience, development speed and competitiveness across Porsche’s value chain.

MHP brings more than 4,500 employees and deep expertise across automotive consulting and digital transformation. Its capabilities include AI, SAP, manufacturing digitalization and connected mobility solutions. The acquisition will also strengthen TCS’s relationships across German automotive and European industrial markets.

TCS CEO K. Krithivasan said, “AI, software, and data redefine the automotive industry.” He added that TCS aims to industrialize AI at scale for Porsche.

The Rs. 3,575 crore acquisition price remains separate from Porsche’s Rs. 13,967 crore five-year commitment. The larger agreement signals a broader shift toward AI-led automotive transformation and software-defined vehicles.
