India became Nestlé’s highest-performing market in the first half of 2026, strengthening its path toward the global top five. Nestlé CEO Philipp Navratil shared the update during his first India visit after taking charge in September 2025.

India currently ranks among Nestlé’s top 10 markets, while strong demand continues pushing the country higher globally. The growth comes from popular brands, wider consumer reach, urbanization, and products offered across different price points.

“Emerging markets are driving growth for Nestlé across the board and India is leading the pack,” Navratil said.

Nestlé India reported about Rs. 23,155 crore revenue in FY26, marking more than 14% year-on-year growth. The company highlighted volume-led growth rather than relying mainly on price increases to expand its Indian business.

Navratil said India offers significant potential as consumption rises and the middle class expands. Nestlé plans further investments to support manufacturing capacity and meet growing domestic demand across the country.

India is also becoming an important export base for Nestlé, with products reaching 28 countries from local facilities. The company sees opportunities to expand manufacturing while giving India a larger role within its global supply chain.

Nestlé also plans to scale business services and artificial intelligence across operations supported by India’s technical talent. Its Indian R&D capabilities already support global work involving noodles, spices, and other product categories.

The company also supports greater transparency in packaged food labeling and informed consumer choices. Nestlé’s India strategy now extends beyond sales, combining stronger consumption, manufacturing, exports, innovation, and technology.
