The Indian stock market commenced the week on a high note today June 18th after a long weekend with the benchmark Sensex crossing the 77,300 mark and the Nifty 50 index hitting a new peak of 23,579.05. This upward trajectory continued the bullish momentum witnessed in the previous trading week as markets reopened after a holiday on Monday.
The Nifty 50 index surged by 0.39% or 92.30 points to 23,557.90 while the Sensex gained 0.40% or 308.37 points to 77,301.14. Both indices recorded new all-time highs extending their gains from the previous week’s rally.
