The stock market showcased a resilient performance last week recording a positive close on Friday June 14 2024. The Nifty 50 and Sensex indices showed strength managing to recoup earlier losses and finishing higher for the third consecutive session. Specifically the Nifty 50 closed at 23,466 which up by 67 pts or 0.29%, touching a new all-time high of 23,490.40 during the day. Its weekly gains were a gain of 175 pts or 0.75%.

Similarly the BSE Sensex ended the session at 76,993 marking an increase of 182 pts or 0.24% for the day and weekly gains of 299 pts or 0.39%. The gains were primarily driven by key players like M&M Titan, HDFC Bank and Reliance Industries among others. The weekly candles as seen from TradingView formed a long-legged doji signaling a potential continuation of uptrend this coming week.

As the stock market remain closed today on Sundays, it provides a perfect opportunity to review the weekly performance of individual stocks particularly those that didn’t fare as well.

Here’s a breakdown of the stocks that experienced significant weekly losses having covered the top gainers for the week in our previous report.

 

ACI Infocom closed at Rs 2.24 hitting its lowest point for the day. The stock witnessed a significant weekly decline of 17.65% with its price fluctuating between Rs 2.72 and Rs 2.24 throughout the day and ultimately falling by 48 pts from its high.

Addi Industries ended the week at Rs 51.44 after moving between Rs 59.00 and Rs 50.00. It experienced a weekly loss of 12.81% and with a decline of 7.56 pts from its previous high.

Chartered Capital and Investments settled at Rs 227.25 marking a weekly drop of 12.58%. The stock ranged from Rs 259.95 to Rs 220.15 decreasing by 32.70 pts from the close of the previous day

Gretex Corporate Services concluded at Rs 501.90. Closing the week on Friday its price moved from a high of Rs 570.00 to a low of Rs 489.30 suffering a weekly loss of 11.95% and a decline of 68 pts on Friday.

Duro Pack finished at Rs 72.55 with its price varying between Rs 82.00 and Rs 71.50 on Friday. The stock saw a weekly decrease of 11.52% dropping by 9.45 pts from its last close.

CIL Nova Petrochemicals closed the week at Rs 31.57 ranging from Rs 35.55 to Rs 31.01. It recorded a weekly loss of 11.20% and fell by 3.98 points from its last close

Dynamic Portfolio Management & Services ended at Rs 46.82 having fluctuated between Rs 54.28 and Rs 46.80. The stock declined by 11.04% over the week and saw a daily decrease of  5.81 points

Baroda Extrusion wrapped up at Rs 7.31 moving from Rs 8.16 to Rs 6.95. It registered a weekly loss of 10.42% and decreased by 0.85 points on Friday.

Aamcol Tools finished at Rs 143.60 with prices ranging from Rs 160.00 to Rs 141.65. It faced a weekly loss of 10.25% and dropped by 16.40 pts from its previous close

Gujarat Poly Avx Electronics closed at Rs 99.75 after a range of Rs 126.50 to Rs 99.40. The stock went down by 10.22% over the week decreasing by 11.35 points from its high on Friday.
