Nifty 50 and Sensex closed the week ending July 5th on a bullish note marking their second consecutive positive week. The Nifty 50 gained 1.30% or 313.25 points closing at 24,323.85 while the Sensex rose 1.22% or 963.88 points ending at 79,996.60. On Friday the Nifty 50 saw a sight gain of 0.089% or 21.70 points with the day’s trading range between 24,168.85 and 24,363.00. The Sensex however experienced a slight dip of 0.066% or 53.07 points trading between 79,478.96 and 80,149.87 during the day.

Having analyzed the overall top stocks for the week in our previous report, lets dive into the Nifty 50 top stocks for the week. Infosys Ltd closed Friday at 1647.5 down 3.20 points or 0.2%. Despite this dip the stock showed a strong weekly gain of 5.2%. Its monthly performance is even more impressive with an 11.9% increase.
Oil and Natural Gas Corporation saw significant growth ending at 288.2 on Friday up 11.15 points or 4.0%. The stock’s weekly gain stood at 5.1% with a strong monthly increase of 14.2%.

HCL Technologies Ltd. finished at 1519.4 down 2.95 points or 0.2% on Friday. However it maintained a positive weekly growth of 4.1%. The monthly performance showed a slight decline of 1.7%.
Wipro Ltd. closed at 535.1 up 4.40 points or 0.8%. It recorded a weekly gain of 3.9% and an impressive monthly increase of 16.1%.
Coal India Ltd. ended at 491.5 rising 1.95 points or 0.4%. The stock’s weekly and monthly gains were consistent at 3.9%.
Tata Consumer Products closed at 1137.4 up 2.20 points or 0.2%. While it showed a weekly gain of 3.6% its monthly performance was slightly down by 0.2%.
Sun Pharmaceutical Industries finished at 1568.4 increasing by 10.50 points or 0.7%. It recorded a weekly gain of 3.1% but showed a monthly decline of 2.5%.
Hindustan Unilever Ltd saw significant growth closing at 2547.0 up 51.05 points or 2.1%. Its weekly gain was 3.0% with a strong monthly performance of 12.4%.
Grasim Industries Ltd ended at 2748.0 up 13.15 points or 0.5%. The stock showed a weekly gain of 2.9% and an impressive monthly increase of 17.7%.
ICICI Bank Ltd closed at 1233.4 with a minimal increase of 0.40 points. Its weekly gain was 2.8% while the monthly performance showed a strong 11.1% increase.
