The stock market remained closed today Sunday, June 2nd as the month of May witnessed a bearish trend, with the Sensex and Nifty 50 breaking their three-month gaining streak to end the month in the red. 

According to the Tradingview chart in our previous analysis, the Nifty 50 opened May at 22,567 and closed its monthly and weekly candlestick on Friday at 22,530, having recorded a monthly high as well as a 52-week high of 23,110. The Sensex, on the other hand, opened the month of May at 74,391, recorded a 52-week high and monthly high of 76,009, but closed at 73,961 marking a drop of 521 points or a 0.70% monthly decline.

Amidst this market scenario, let us examine the performance of the top 10 weekly Nifty 50 gainers having covered the overall performance for the weekly gainers in our previous report.

Divis Laboratories

Divis Laboratories was the best Nifty 50 gainer for the week but second for the last 3 months with its last traded price at Rs. 4307.2 on Friday, marking a 2.4% or 105.6 pts decrease from its previous close. Despite the intraday drop, the stock recorded a 4.5% gain over the past week. Divis Laboratories also saw a 7.6% increase in the last month.

Hindalco Industries

Hindalco Industries ended Friday at Rs 689.4, down 0.8% or 5.8 pts on the day. However, the stock managed a 2.4% gain over the week. Hindalco Industries also witnessed a 7.0% rise in the last month and 32% gain in last 3 months.

Bajaj Auto

Bajaj Auto’s last traded price on Friday stood at Rs. 9084.8, reflecting a 1.3% or 116.25 points increase. The stock recorded a 1.5% gain over the past week. Bajaj Auto’s monthly performance showed a 2.0% increase while in the last 3 months it has recorded a 13% gain. 

Adani Ports

Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone closed at Rs. 1437.4 on Friday, up 3.9% or 53.9 points. The stock has gained 1.5% over the week and 8.5% in the last month and 8.7% in the last 3 months.

IndusInd Bank 

IndusInd Bank Ltd. ended Friday at Rs. 1461.9, up 1% or 15.05 points. The stock saw a 1.4% gain over the past week but Despite the weekly gain, it dipped 3.6% in the last month and 4.2% in the last 3 months

Larsen & Toubro 

Larsen & Toubro Ltd. last traded at Rs. 3669.3, marking a flat 1% or 34.6 points increase on Friday. The stock gained 1.2% over the week,  2.1% in the last month and 1% in the last 3 months.

HDFC Bank 

HDFC Bank Ltd. closed at Rs. 1531.6 on Friday, up 1.1% or 16.7 points. The stock recorded a 1% gain over the past week and 0.8% in the last month. Over the last three months, it has impressively recorded a 7.1% gain despite the slight weekly and monthly gains.

Adani Enterprises

Adani Enterprises Ltd. ended Friday at Rs. 3411.4, reflecting a 6.8% or 217.1 points surge. The stock gained 0.8% over the week but soared 11.7% in the last month and 2.8% in the last 3 months.

Asian Paints

Asian Paints Ltd. was last traded at Rs. 2881.2, down 0.1% or 2.5 points on Friday. Despite the intraday drop, the stock managed a 0.2% gain over the week and the last month, but a 1.8% in the last 3 months.

State Bank of India  

State Bank of India closed at Rs. 830.4, up 0.5% or 4.5 points. The stock gained 0.2% over the past week and 0.5% in the last month but an impressive 8% in the last 3 months.
