In today’s trading session, the Indian stock markets, both the Nifty 50 and the BSE Sensex, closed flat after recording all-time highs on 23rd May.

The Nifty 50 concluded the day at 22,957, marking a slight decline of 0.046%, after oscillating between a low of 22,908.00 and a high of 23,026.40. Similarly, the BSE Sensex managed to close at 75,410, down merely 0.010%, after trading between 75,244.22 and 75,636.50.
Most of the top stocks recorded losses, but several small-cap and mid-caps recorded.

HDFC Bank Limited

Closed at Rs 1,516, which is an increase of 1.60% from the previous session. The stock reached an intraday high of Rs 1,519.90 after starting at a low of Rs 1,486.00. This performance reflects a positive sentiment surrounding HDFC Bank, supported by its strong annual range of Rs 1,363.55 to Rs 1,757.50. With a formidable market capitalization of 11.53 trillion INR and an average trading volume of 15.07 million shares, HDFC Bank continues to be a heavyweight in the banking sector.

ICICI Bank Ltd

ICICI Bank witnessed a slight downtick of 0.19%, closing at Rs 1,132. The shares fluctuated between an intraday low of Rs 1,124.15 and a high of Rs 1,135.00, slightly down from its previous close of Rs 1,134.50. The bank’s market capitalization stands at 7.95 trillion INR, with an average daily volume of 12.99 million shares, indicating strong investor interest and market activity.

Tata Consultancy Services Ltd

TCS faced a more challenging day, with its stock price decreasing by 1.09% to close at Rs 3,850.95. The tech giant’s shares hit an intraday high of Rs 3,883.80 and a low of Rs 3,844.30. Infosys Ltd

Infosys Ltd also experienced a downturn, closing at Rs 1,462 a decrease of 0.67%. The stock traded between Rs 1,460.00 and Rs 1,475.50 throughout the day. The annual trading range for Infosys has been between Rs 1,262.25 and Rs 1,733.00, reflecting the tech sector’s volatility amidst various market pressures. The company’s market cap is currently at 6.06 trillion INR, with an average volume of 7.58 million shares, indicating a strong following among investors.

Reliance Industries Ltd

Reliance Industries Ltd saw its shares decline by 0.44%, ending the day at Rs 2,959. The shares touched an intraday low of Rs 2,952.20 and a high of Rs 2,977.00. Over the past year, Reliance has traded between Rs 2,193.43 and Rs 3,024.90, underscoring its significant presence and influence in the market.
