ZKasino Crypto Fraud Case: Dutch Authorities Make Arrest

Dutch authorities arrested a man suspected of being included in the trick encompassing the ZKasino online gambling platform.

The Fiscal Information and Investigation Service (FIOD) and Dutch authorities arrested the 26-year-old on April 29, who is suspected of extortion, theft, and cash laundering.

According to a May 3 report by FIOD, the Dutch authorities seized over 11.4 million euros ($12.2 million) worth of crypto, real domain, and extravagance cars.

This marks the first arrest in the ZKasino crypto fraud case, in which speculators misplaced even the slightest $33 million of computerized resources. At first, the stage promised clients their speculation within 30 days. However, the intelligent contract recommends that the platform refrain from returning the reserves, concurring with Dutch authorities.

The suspect’s detention was expanded by 14 days for investigative purposes.

While the suspect’s character is, however, to be affirmed, some crypto community individuals on X have been hypothesizing about his identity.

ZKasino: From investment to exit scam

 ZKasino first displayed itself as a developing blockchain-based betting stage, attracting stores from speculators and promising returns within a month. The platform went live on April 20, drawing in over 10,515 Ether.

Investor concerns escalated on April 20 after an on-chain exchange appeared, ZKasino, moving all 10,515 ETH into the Lido staking protocol.

Users, moreover, noted that it had changed the wording on its site, evacuating an explanation that said the ETH “would be returned.”

Adding fuel to the fire, in a March X post, ZKasino claimed to have closed an arrangement speculation circular at a $350 million valuation with backing from cryptocurrency trade MEXC and venture firm Enormous Brain Possessions, among others.

Big Brain Holdings subsequently clarified that it had not contributed to ZKasino, “which shows up to be fraudulent,” in spite of accepting a pro-rata token conveyance offer from the stage.
