Bitcoin Volatility Surpasses Ether's Ahead of Halving Event

Bitcoin (BTC) is expected to be more stable in comparison to other digital assets, shielding a trader's portfolio from market volatility.

However, Bitcoin has recently been more volatile than Ethereum (ETH).

Bitcoin's annualized 30-day historical or realized volatility increased to about 60% late last week.

It has outperformed Ether's 30-day realized volatility by roughly ten percentage points.

That is the widest spread in at least a year, according to statistics compiled by Paris-based Kaiko.
