Mockford selected for GB trials
St. Francis guard Ben Mockford has been selected to try out for Great Britain's under-23 basketball development team.
Mockford, a transfer from Iona College, had an average of 11.8 points per game for the 2011/2012 season.
Mockford already has experience with the English national team, having played for its U-18 and U-20 squads. He made 25 international appearances, averaging 15 points per game.
"This is a great opportunity for Ben to play for his country," said Terriers' head coach Glenn Braica.
"He's been working extremely hard on his game since the end of the season and I think he's put himself in the best possible position to make the team. We wish him the best of luck."
