SFC's Open House will take place on Sunday, March 11, 2012 where the halls will be filled with eager high school students. Open House will take place from 10am-2pm where prospective students and their parents will find out what SFC is all about.  st-francis-college-officeAs college students we know it takes more than just eeny, meeny, miny, mo to decide what college we want to attend. There are many factors to  consider such as tuition, location, programs available, size, and more. After making a list and narrowing it down to the final few colleges, the application process begins. In the spring of your senior year of high school reality begins to sets in. High school is ending and the college visits start. High school students all over the country are planning their visits and making the decision of where they want to enroll for the fall.

Open house is not only for  high school students but also transfer students and adult learners enrolling to earn a degree. This Open House is where future students can meet the faculty, administration, and current students to ask them questions about their experiences here at SFC. Clubs and organizations also will have tables set up where students and parents can see what is available, learn more about the programs, and request more information.

Tours will be given by SFC student volunteers throughout the day. Students and parents will see classrooms, the cafeteria, the communication arts studio, the library, the many science labs, the work out facilities, the pool, and also the gymnasium. Just as they walk through the halls, prospective students will get the cozy home-like feel of SFC. It's not everyday you find a respected and also small, tight-knit community at a college in such an urban location.

Students and parents will also be attending short seminars about what SFC has to offer. Students and their parents can talk to administration in many departments, learn about on-campus housing, and meet with other faculty members to learn more about any academic programs of interest in the Genovesi Center on the 4th floor.

The day will be filled with information sessions and there will always be someone around to answer all your questions. Free food will be offered to everyone in attendance. So whether you are thinking about coming to SFC from high school, transferring, as an adult learner, or even if you already attend and want to help out, come by on March 11, 2012 for a day to convince anyone to come join our Terrier pride.
